In addition to planting community gardens and sponsoring a garden therapy program for seniors, we offer these fun community events, that share happiness, laughter and fun.These events help us to raise money so we can give back to the community. We have donated contributions to many community projects including the Arboretum, the Restoration of the Clubhouse, the Clarence Hollow Farmers Market,and the Bros. of Mercy Senior Center, and the Garden Walk of Clarence Hollow. There will be no meeting this month due to the way the Calendar fell, being Holy Week of Easter. We will make up this meeting by adding a meeting in July with a Garden Walk. Please join us,and bring along a friend if you like, perhaps they will want to be a member too. We welcome new gardening enthusiasts,novice to experienced,men and women of all ages. Join us on April 16th,7 PM for our next scheduled meeting where we will be discussing the introduction of new spring perennials and annuals. We will also be contining our discussions on " Going Green".

The Clarence Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, February 20th at the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse at 7PM. We will begin our meeting with a refreshment table and party with Tastefully Simple Entertaining Ideas. Cash and Carry products will be available for purchase, or you can order the things you liked best by tasting, from her catalog. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Our club will earn cash back rewards with each purchase. We will be making wreaths with Russ from Sept. meeting, and he will continue his adventures of gardening talks with us, and show us how to make a beautiful wreath with natural materials, which he will supply. The Clarence Hollow Association announces, “Wine, Wheels & Song”, a Wine Festival showcasing 25 New York Wineries, featuring tastings and sales, on Friday, Sept. 21st, 5PM -10PM, at the WNY Event Center, 11163 Main St, Clarence, NY, 14031. Included is a concert with PAT SHEA, who is donating his services “In Memory of Joan Diver”, a Clarence resident and mother of 4, who was murdered on the Clarence Newstead Bike Path nearly one year ago.
We are raising money thru this event, to purchase video surveillance & safety equipment to be placed along the Clarence bike paths, as a deterrent to any wrong doing, and to make our bike paths safer, in memory of Joan Diver. Please call your friends and bring them along, for a great evening of community fun and caring for each other.

Tonight we will be collecting basket donations for Wine, Wheels & Song, held at the WNY Event Centre, on Sept. 21st . This is a community event given , “ In memory of Joan Diver”, a Clarence resident and mother of 4, who lost her life nearly one year ago on the bike path thru a tragic crime. We will be raising money to contribute to the community cause of helping to purchase bike path surveillance equipment, as a deterrent to crime and to make our bike paths safer. We are meeting at The Asa Ransom House, on August 18th at 7PM, for our April meeting. We invite anyone to attend this meeting, to learn about new gardening ideas and facts and the Joy that Gardening brings. Meet new friends with similiar interests. Perhaps you will consider becoming a member after attending. Our program this evening will include:
"Easing our way into Spring, with helpful Spring Gardening Tips."
Our 2nd topic will be "Aromatherapy" and how it is used to create well being of mind, body and spirit. Learn about the use of essential oils which is derived from the true essence of plants and flowers.
A Breath Away Spa Center will tell us about the benefits of Aromatherapy in our lives. A workshop class will follow : Creating bath salts and skin scrubs for your personal use at home ,using essential oils and all natural products. Shared refreshment Table, bring a snack to share.

Our speaker will be Carol Lee McKay, who has made it her passionate life work to study and share the secrets of positive energy and its healing force. She is the creator and developer of The Accelerated Healing Center, located in the Women’s Wellness Center, in Williamsville, NY. She will share her wisdom and teachings with us, as she helps us to recognize and embrace, your own power to heal, to accept yourself and to celebrate and enjoy the positive changes that result. She will teach us about CREATING BALANCE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE, so you will have time to enjoy it and time to enjoy the things you like to do, like gardening, golfing, or going for tea. She also shares a love and respect for gardening, as she knows it brings to us a positive energy source.
Small Indulgences Jewelry will be visiting us also, and will have several tables costume jewelry for purchase before and after the meeting. Please bring a snack to share for the community snack table, coffee and tea will be provided. To celebrate the month of Love, we will also have a Red Wine and Chocolate tasting table, for those interested.

We are in our 2007 open membership drive and encourage anyone interested in “America’s Favorite Past Time”, Gardening, to check us out. This meeting will be a hands on meeting where you will learn simple gardening facts for the novice gardening enthusiast to more advanced facts for those wanting more information. But mostly, a conversation with new friends and old friends, and being together for a common interest. Bring your gardening stories to share with all. Perhaps you have a passion for a certain plant and your experiences will help others. The love of Gardening has no boundaries, and we all have so much to share together. We always meet the 3rd Wed. of the month, at the Clubhouse on Main Street in the Townpark, 7:00 PM, except, July and August, (which leaves open time to plan field trips.) We will also have Santas Secret Shop for the kids to get their teacher gifts and Mom gifts, at a reasonable price. Also shopping tables for the Moms and Dads to bring home some holiday gifts, too. Kids and Grandchildren, bring your wish list to Santa. Cameras Welcome. Take your own pic with Santa in his Clarence Wonderland. Hot Chocolate and cookies for snacks.

Our 3rd annual Halloween Fundraiser, held at the Clubhouse, 10405 Main Street, 6:30 PM. This year we are having a community Costume Party again, with a dinner theatre theme being a comedy night. The interactive show will begin immediately following dinner. Come early to enjoy appetizers and beverages while enjoying our huge Chinese Auction. You are sure to win something grand, and have fun too. Also Tableside Magic will be offered thru a famous local magician. Proceeds to benefit several local community projects.

This is a members only tour, We will meet at the Farmers Market lot on Main Street, (across from the bowling alley,) at 12:30 pm.From here you will be given the addresses and garden information, of the members who signed up to show their gardens. We will drive to each home, and follow to the 6 gardens on the tour, some may want to carpool. Bring a bottle of water as you may get thirsty, and your sunglasses.
