We are a New York State Federated Garden Club, FOUNDED 1938,FEDERATED 1945,and INCORPORATED 1987. Our members consist of a myriad of individuals who have come together to share our love of gardening and our interest in making our neighborhood a more beautiful place to live, by the introduction of new plants and new gardens. We meet once a month to share ideas and to hear a guest speaker or see a demonstration on garden-related topics. Garden lovers are always thirsting for more knowledge of new plants, and also the desire to remember Heirloom Plants of years gone by. Several of our gardening projects have been organizing and planting Liberty Gardens, to honor our soldiers and fallen heroes. We chose patriotic themed Hostas, for longevity and remembrance, and red, white and blue annuals for color. It is our hope to plant other Liberty Gardens throughout the town of Clarence to show our respect and gratitude of all soldiers who have served for our freedom. In additon we supply the plant material and maintenance for several community gardens, organized many plant auctions,and toured and provided volunteers and expertise for many garden walks. We raise money to help purchase plant materials for the DOT Planters along Main Street and help to provide maintenance on them. We have sponsored numerous Gardening Expert Speakers for the Clarence Hollow Farmers'Market.           The Summer of 2005,was our 1st annual Garden Walk through the neighborhood of Clarence Hollow, proceeds of which we then give back to the community. Sometimes it is in the form of beautification projects, horticultural gifts, or gift donations. Some of the community projects we have donted to are Clubhouse renovations, Arboretum Gifts, Clarence Hollow Associtaion sponsor, and Clarence Hollow Farmers Market Donations. Clarence Farmers Market. We will also be sponsoring a Garden Therapy Program for the Senior Citizens at The Brothers of Mercy Campus. We hope to spread the spiritual side of gardening for the longevity of a more fulfilled life. Meetings are held at the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse, 10405 Main Street, Clarence, NY 14031. Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM.
